And you thought last week chart action was record breaking? Think again! This week chart’s action is stupendous. My Chemical Romance had another song joining the ranks of rihanna, don and drew, gym class heroes as the longest song in the charts equaling the record of 14 weeks (this year), after falling another record breaking 11 spots to 18. But minutes later to find themselves being beaten as rihanna and jayz with the “song of the year”- umbrella finally break the long standing record with 15 long weeks on the charts! Impressive!

As we continue down the charts, the highest climber of the week comes from the click five with “Jenny” climbing up a whopping 6 notches to 12. From 11 till 4, we have 7 songs only inching up 1 to their respective positions, with gwen stefani the only one breaking the trend with “4 in the morning”, drops 2 to 6. the chart is seriously getting very competitive…haven’t seen this kind of action in quite a while

1 week at no4, 2 weeks at no3, 3 weeks at no2, 4 weeks at no1! That is the top 4 songs in Singapore! Really having fun with the numbers! Holding steady at no3, we have 17 years old Sean Kingston with “beautiful girls”. The dutchess, Fergie seems to be running out of steam as for the 3rd week in a row, she is frustrated at no2…that means the number one song in Singapore this weeks is hey there Delilah be plain white tee. 1 week at no1 is an achievement, 2 weeks at no1 is a feat, 3 weeks at no1 is phenomenal, 4 weeks? It is record breaking! It has just equaled the record of 4 weeks set by my chemical romance with “welcome to the black parade”, one more week and you know what will happen…

elliot yamin will seriously have to “wait” for his no1 spot, as he is unlikely to capture no1 with so much good songs on the chart. Boys like girls could be a surprise package, with so many people requesting it, it might just snatch the no1 crown from fergie. Personally I feel that fergie should deserve that no1 spot with such a great track. But don’t leave out Sean Kingston, he’s certainly a force to be reckon with! Next week we should see a “stronger” kayne west debuting with his new hit single. Watch out fot the red jumpsuit apparatus especially after a long absence from the chart since their last hit single- “Face down”, expect the click five to get into the top 5 in the coming week or two, “jenny” is just too good a track for us to resist!

Can the plain white tee hang on to their no1 spot for a record 5 weeks in a row? Fergie, sean Kingston, or even elliot yamin may prove them wrong! So who will be the no1 song in Singapore next week?
