Thursday, June 19, 2008 @ 9:38 PM i survived my last sjab camp as a cadet. day one the usual packing/unpacking of baggaes at an unusual place. cheeshuan brought mulitple contraband items, which failed. hmm maybe except for some =D well jus keep it a secret. went to our bunks, which were located above the cadets rm (2nd floor of salt). the new venue is pretty cool. had our usual bunk checks. chaoxu managed to break the record of having the lowest number of mistakes. 7 to be exact. then "mister justin sir" gave the sec3s a talk abour leadershop for 2hours. well spend it was damn sad that we werent able to watch the usual horror movie. then we had some interview for ncos. it was freaking scary. all 28 (or at least 20+) ncos and justinloh still infront, beside, behind, then there was night/confidence trail. we had one of the worst/scariest/longest trail last camp. so i was expecting the same standard, but it turned out to be a real disappointment. i could jus walk the whole trail with my torch off. the scariest part would have been the underground storeroom near gym, which i jus barge in. there were 6 ppl at the end point together=.= "success!" day two highlight was the amazing race. my team consist of WTFOMFG leeyiren, my ex-reserve chengcan and sec1 samuel. not bad, we got highest for hci sjab trivia=D it was pretty fun. and we came in third! there was this station where we had to crawl/barrel roll around the track. my poor sec1 D: then there was this station where we had to hop. dammit we suck. another one was the pull up, which i obviously cant do. so i jus support everyone who went up. next was suppose to be war game, but due to some unforseen circumstances, it was postponed. we had our solo night instead. stationed at sci lab second floor. suppose to be outside the second floor toilet, but i heck go sit at the other end (which is facing the ep3 shed with lights). nothing much jus tat there were some stupid sounds from the generators.zzz day three triage. i was head again=D damn fun. it went pretty smoothly for most of the part. except for the last 30minutes or so where everyone was jus too tierd to continue, and we sorta slacken off. and hell yea war game. weidong arrived jus in time for war game. it was 9 sec3s + 1 pc weijie + 1dpc raymond vs 12 sec2s + 1 pc weisheng + 2 dpcs dingjing and jianler. despite losing out in the numbers, we were still damn zai. cos of the multiple injuries we suffered before that. me and daniel were ruled out of the attacking force. and we had to stay back to protect the flag with adrian=.=. and into the first few minutes or so. weidong got team killed by our debutant dpc raymond=.= so much for the anticipation where we needed him. surprisingly it was a onesided match that favoured us, we were attacking for almost the whole game. except for two moments where dingjie and jianler went to check where our flag was, but i managed to shove them off=D we meng, but couldn't get the flag. then in the end it was still deadlock after some 30minutes. then ncos were ordered out of game. it was our chance, so we went all out attack (including adrian) yea hell i killed mmingxun. lol. then i saw xianning hugging the flag on the grass with darrel trying to stop him. then in the end i kenna squashed by both xianning and darrel. so neither of us could move. in the end the ncos called for a draw. but we were winning lyk wtf. we were holding the flag?? next game ncos vs cadets. we were no match in terms of size. so we jus anyhow attack, which resulted in multiple casualties. including me. we got pwn flat flat D: ectc at night, we were suppose to shout a word from the end of the field so tat the squadmates at clocktower could hear. quite fun, day four cleard our IOUs in less than half hour. this year lyk damn little IOUs, probably because of the absence of home sweet home. ========================================= all in all this camp was pretty slack as compared to the previous one, perhaps because we are taking over very soon. and the ncos dont want to sadist too much such tat we will take "revenge" on the cadets. or maybe we have become more mature. despite so many safety precautions, this camp was the deadliest in my 3years in sjab. out of my squad of nine, xianning spraing his ankle, kezheng sprain his thigh, weichieh abrasion to knees, danile super big and tored blister, me spectacles nose drop, abrasion to elbow, and rashes to feet?? lyk wtf, then worse of all cheeshuan got hit in his balls 0.o but the most scary thing was kenneth loh getting hit/ fell down, then his tooth/teeths came off. ouch from this camp i learn alot of things, and i think our squad is much bonded now=D and i also see alot of talents in the sec1 squad. you dont really know me but i know you, to name a few- arturo, kaijie, leslie, russel, william. i think they are quite zai, have alot of potential. jy ppl platoon3 08' |
