Blogger kinda screwed up yesterday.

Anyway yesterday 14/08/09, was a really big day. Well, firstly because Billy Wang aka 东方比利“第二度莅临本校” (quote from ChiuCC) Next I had my Math test (free frag) and IHE Geog (zomg wtf srsly fail).

But most importantly it was SJAB Passing-out-Parade. And it really brought back a lot of fond memories, especially with all the sirs coming back.

Had our POP at the SALT Center Foyer. Checked their uniform, had one round of rehearsal, then real thing. This year due to the large size of my platoon one, the SALT center area seems abit too small.

So it started with the promotions first. My sec1s! Not too bad I guess, except for the fact that the 3 of them all shouted “YES STAFF”. Sir Yufan psps.

After all the promotions have been announced, Chee Shuan gave the command, and the sec4s have officially passed out. ONE BANG! NICE! Good job ppl! Next was the sec3 posts. LOL quoted from Chee Shuan “Taking over the post of training head: LIM (pause for 5s) WEN KHANG KENNETH. EHEH SORRY WRONG. ITS LIM SHENGYANG. haha

Finally we had our buffet and the usual LT3 gathering. Great video, sec3s! And thanks for the present sec3s and comp team: <3 earphones and pouch

Those who got promoted today, does not mean anything unless you continue to put in effort and better your current standard. To the others, don’t fret about it, it will be your turn soon, as long as you do your best during training, your efforts will be recognized. As mentioned in LT3, individually, there is really a lot of great potential. But as a whole, the squad still lacks squad spirit. So I sincerely hope that some of you can take the initiative to lead and bring the squad together.

Okay the above was just about what happened today. I didn’t really feel the way I expected to feel after POP. I wasn’t happy, neither was I sad. =/

However, only after I came home, and talked to Cheng Can about PC1. Then it really made me realize how proud I should feel to be part of hci sjab. Initially, when I was given the role of PC1, I was pretty skeptical because I wasn’t expecting a PC role at all. But after these six months, the training that each of you and me went through together, it realized how much you guys have grown and matured.

Comparing to the first time I saw all of you guys, every single one of you have changed. So what if you screw up the POP march pass? Deep in my heart, I know all of you have tried your best, but that certainly wasn’t the best yall could offer. What matter most is to witness how much yall have learnt, and I’m very proud of what some of you have become today. feel so 伟大!

So I just hope that the new PCs, including both PC2 and 3, can treat their job seriously with pride and hounr. It’s a really, really good experience. I will never forget such an experience.

Secondly, it was after reading sir Xiao Tian’s blog. Made me realized how much we (the sec4s) have changed. Initially we had 20+ (with people like Bradley, Jun Han) ppl in the squad, but due to various reasons, almost all of them quit. I am one of the guilty ones, but failed-.- in the process, some quit (BoHan, Aiqi), while others joined (Melvin from band, ChaoXu from judo, and KeZheng from table tennis). We might not have the best squad spirit, and we may hate each other for certain reasons. But the fact that we were able to tahan this four years together as a squad, all the smiles, tears, laughters. Platoonfour09 had them all. We should be proud of it and treasure these times.

As I read Xiao Tian’s blog, and most importantly the photo. I thought it was very interesting how much each of us have changed..

We have passed out, I’m not sure when all the 11 of us will be able to meet up together again but all I want to say is that hci*St.J// forever! The final parade we had outside the old sjab room, brought back a lot of memories. And falling in together as one squad for one last time. That feeling~

Awww. I’m getting emotional again. The presents didn’t really matter in the end. haha
